The annual Watertown Fall Festival will be packed with entertainment for people of all ages when concerts, food, entertainment and other activities take place on October 7th in the downtown area.
Watertown's historic Main Street will host the Arts and Crafts Fair, and the third annual Flea Market sponsored by Watertown Antiques will run from 9am to 3pm.
Live music will be performed in the Water Street courtyard next to the Market Specialty Shopping Mall at 11 am, 1 pm and 3 pm.
The Market will also be the host of the puppet show, "How the Porcupine Got Her Quills." Performances will be at Noon and 2pm. Children can also participate in a petting zoo at AFP Pets, an old fashioned horse drawn wagon ride, or the choice of a hand-painted pumpkin.
Families can also stop by The Market for a candid portrait taken in a lovely fall setting by professional photographer Stephanie Juhl.
Augie's European Cafe in The Market will be celebrating Watertown's German heritage with an authentic selection of specialties including pork hocks, sauerbraten, potato pancakes, spring chicken and German chocolate cake.
A "Behind the Beans" tour will be held at Berres Brothers Coffee Roasters on Air Park Drive at 9, 11am, 1pm and 3 pm. Tours are limited to 25 participants and reservations can be made by calling 1-800-233-5443.
Those at the festival can sample a large selection of Wisconsin wines at Calico Cottage and the Rock River Winery. The Craft Castle has a class for "Make It and Take It" crafts from 10am to 4 pm.
Hat Creek Candles will also be holding tours of the factory to show how clean burning candles are brought to life. Reservations can be made by calling 920-262-9995.
For those who are not ready to go home or cannot make the earlier events, The Watertown Players will present "Radio Station F.E.A.R." at 7 pm at The Market.
Those in attendance can also enjoy an evening of dancing at the Elks Lodge, 117 N. First St., with "The Variations" providing polka music. Raffle tickets will be sold for $1 and the proceeds will go toward a new roof. |
