Powerful politician wants two strip clubs closed Tuesday, April 10

UNDATED State Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald wants two Dodge County strip clubs shut down after human trafficking charges were lodged against a man connected to the clubs. 45-year-old Christopher Childs of Hartford man faces charges of forcing women to prostitute themselves in two clubs; the Hardware Store in Clyman and TNT Gentlemans Club in Lebabon.



Supreme Court affirms Richfield man's murder conviction

The Wisconsin Supreme Court has affirmed the murder conviction of a Richfield man who got life without parole in the strangulation death of his ex-girlfriend in 2013. The high court Tuesday rejected arguments that Daniel Bartelt wasn't properly advised of his rights to remain silent and have a lawyer when detectives questioned him about a nonfatal attack that happened before his ex-girlfriend, Jessie Blodgett, was found dead in her Hartford apartment.

UW System to assess, adjust employee compensation in $900,000 study

The University of Wisconsin System will implement a two-year-long study to reclassify and set compensation for thousands of university jobs, according to UW's Office of Human Resources. The study will be the first of its kind in 30 years and will cost the UW System $900,000, according to a document shared by UW's Office of Human Resources.



Wisconsin grapples with allowing bitcoin campaign donations

Montecito Medical Acquires Medical Office Building from Leading Orthopedic Provider in Wisconsin

The acquisition involved a large medical office building in Pewaukee, Wisconsin, approximately 20 miles west of Milwaukee. The approximately 71,000-square-foot facility is the primary location for OAW, which serves the greater Milwaukee, Chicago, Waukesha and Madison areas.
